Appearance
--------------------
Tarial is a dark skinned, red haired gnome, her affinity for fire apparently coming out in her very flesh. Her eyes are a dark brown although sometimes they flare when she casts magic. Even more noticeable are the tattoos inscribed across her body. most notably one of a small blue thrush and a strange symbol that appears to be five stylized flames making up a star. Both of these tattoos seem to move around her body. She wears a series of silver chains and blue crystals in her hair, as is usual for Gnome women.

Personality
--------------------
When you consider Tarial’s affinity for fire it isn’t surprising that she is somewhat manic. Bouncy, hyper and gregarious, Tarial gets on with almost everyone, and is incredibly skilled at talking to people. She has almost no regard for laws and instead only what she considers right, but will almost always do what she thinks is right regardless of the consequences to herself or others.

History
--------------------
Tarial was born dead. Born stillborn, Tarial’s mother prayed to Sarenrae - and went unanswered. But something else heard. Another figure appeared in the weeping women’s birthing chamber, offering to give the baby life - for a little boon. Some of the child’s life force. Desperate, Tarial’s mother agreed, and the creature explained the simple procedure to start the stillborn child’s breathing. As the chill blue faded from her skin and Tarial let out her first scream, the figure shifted away, the contract signed in the blood of childbirth grasped in its hand.
And so Tarial grew up. Her unusually strong affinity for fire magic became obvious when she accidentally shifted a Ray of Frost spell to fire and set fire to a set of stables. The local Clerics of Sarenrae gave her what training they could, teaching her the truth of fire - that although it was incredibly destructive, it was vital for all life. All life comes from the fire of the sun, and her powers, although dangerous, could be harnessed to help life as well. They also taught her focus, diplomacy, and how to talk to people. One of the Clerics, a Varisian, was able to teach her the secret of his people’s tattoos, much to her pleasure.
The power of the divine, however, wasn’t the power of the Arcane, and eventually Tarial needed to go elsewhere to learn. Leaving the desert nation of Katapesh from where she was born she journeyed to Absolom, and joined the Pathfinder Society to receive what training they could provide. They improved her powers, but also had a request - to journey to the Planar City of Door. Her ability to speak several tongues was an added bonus. Intrigued to see what lay outside Golarion, she agreed.
